A: Active duty, reservists, and transitioning military personnel across all branches. Whether you’re an E-1 or an O-5, Waypoints adapts to your career path.

Q: Is the app free to use?

A: Yes! Waypoints includes a free tier with essential features. You can upgrade to Pro for enhanced tools and an ad-free experience.

Q: How do I create an account?

A: You can sign up with your email or log in using Apple or Google credentials. No .mil email required.

Waypoints is available on iOS, Android. and Web.

Here are some things you can do:

  • Set up your profile with rank, branch, and MOS

  • Track your fitness test scores

  • View pay estimates and promotion requirements

Q: How do I create an account?

A: You can sign up using your email or Apple/Google login. No .mil email required.

Q: How do I update my rank or MOS?

A: Go to your profile, tap “Edit Info,” and update your details.

Q: Can I use Waypoints if I’m not active duty?

A: Yes! Waypoints supports active, reserve, and transitioning service members.

Profile & Customization

Q: How do I update my rank, MOS, or branch?

A: Navigate to your Profile, tap “Edit Info,” and select your current rank and MOS from the dropdowns. Waypoints will adjust your roadmap automatically.

Q: Can I change my information later?

A: Yes. All profile info—including promotion dates and specialty—can be updated anytime.

Fitness Tracking

Q: Can I log my PFT and CFT scores?

A: Absolutely. Use the fitness tracker to input and monitor your scores over time. You can also sync with Apple Health (iOS) or Google Fit (Android) for activity tracking.

Q: Will I see how I compare to standards?

A: Yes. Waypoints will automatically assess your score against your age and gender brackets.

Career Roadmap

Q: What does the career roadmap include?

A: It shows recommended courses, billets, and milestones for your rank and MOS. It’s based on official Marine Corps and DoD guidelines.

Q: Can I save or share my roadmap?

A: You can save it in the app for quick reference. Export/sharing features are coming soon.

Pay & Benefits

Q: How do I view my estimated pay?

A: Enter your rank, years of service, dependent status, and zip code to view BAH, BAS, and base pay estimates.

Q: Can I see projected changes?

A: Pro users can simulate future pay scenarios (e.g., promotion, PCS, marriage).
